USDA Reports 330,000 Metric Tons of New Soybean Export Sales to China

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced new soybean export sales on October 15, confirming that private exporters reported 330,000 metric tons for delivery to China and another 283,450 metric tons for delivery to undisclosed destinations. Both volumes are for the 2026/27 marketing year. USDA publishes these flash announcements daily when private exporters report sales of 100,000 metric tons or more, giving growers, exporters and grain traders a running picture of U.S. soybean export demand during the autumn harvest.
China remains a major destination for American soybeans, which makes purchasing activity especially relevant to producers watching international competition and domestic crop availability. The reported transactions are export sales, not completed shipments, and USDA did not disclose the destination for the 283,450 metric tons. While the announcement confirms additional export business, its effect on soybean prices and the broader export outlook will depend on market conditions and future demand.
