The CANAMEK Gold-Can Laser Land Leveling Control System & Nedo PRIMUS 3 H2N combines the equipment that establishes a laser reference with the machine controls that follow it. The Gold-CAN control system supplies the CP210-CAN control box and MD205-CAN machine receiver. The NEDO PRIMUS 3 H2N kit supplies the dual-slope transmitter, COMMANDER 3 receiver/radio remote and transmitter accessories.
The H2N establishes a level or sloped plane across the work area. The MD205-CAN detects its position relative to that plane and sends grade information to the CP210-CAN. Operators can use visual guidance in Manual mode or select Automatic mode with a compatible hydraulic solenoid-valve installation to raise and lower the blade. COMMANDER 3 provides separate handheld reference checks and remote operation of the NEDO laser.
This laser land leveling system with transmitter suits farmers, grading contractors and operators configuring compatible scrapers, land levelers and grading blades. The bundle supplies the laser reference and core machine-control equipment together. The tripod, hydraulic hardware, machine mounting and working implement are selected separately for the intended installation. An optional PM400-CAN power mast adds powered receiver positioning and the documented Survey-mode workflow.
The two systems connect laser setup, grade detection and machine response in one working sequence:
The laser controls the reference plane; Gold-CAN uses that reference to guide or control blade elevation. Machine travel, material handling and operation monitoring remain with the operator.

The receivers have separate roles. MD205-CAN supplies the machine’s blade-control feedback. COMMANDER 3 serves handheld checking, laser operation and the NEDO reference-alignment functions.
Automatic blade control requires a compatible hydraulic solenoid valve, the appropriate hydraulic connections and a suitable grading machine or implement. The valve, quick-connect block, hoses, tripod and machine-specific mounting hardware are outside this two-product bundle.
Select the hydraulic arrangement according to the machine’s pressure, flow, cylinder configuration, relief requirements and electrical ratings. Confirm fitting compatibility, hose routing, receiver mounting and the blade-control arrangement before installation.
The included blade/valve cable is part of the electrical control connection. Hydraulic equipment must be specified separately for the machine. Quick-Fix 2 is a transmitter attachment accessory; a suitable tripod is also required.
Le PM400-CAN electric power mast provides receiver-height adjustment from the cab. Its digital positioning system offers 39.37 in / 1,000 mm travel and stated position accuracy of ±0.04 in / ±1 mm. It supports the documented Survey-mode configuration when installed and set up with Gold-CAN.
The optional RS100-CAN wired remote provides blade up/down and Manual/Automatic controls. COMMANDER 3, included with the NEDO kit, operates the transmitter and performs receiver functions; it does not replace the Gold-CAN blade-control remote.
The H2N documentation lists Class 3R and Class 2 versions. The supplied laser classification should be identified in the final order configuration. Both documented versions use a 635 nm / approximately 0.0000250 in wavelength.
Manual mode provides real-time above-grade, on-grade and below-grade information while the operator adjusts the machine hydraulics. The receiver and controller indicators show the blade’s relationship to the established reference.
This mode suits setup and grading work where the operator needs direct control of blade movement with continuous laser guidance.
In Automatic mode, the CP210-CAN uses information from the MD205-CAN to command a compatible hydraulic solenoid valve. The resulting raise or lower movement brings the blade toward the selected on-grade band.
The operator selects the control tolerance and tunes upward and downward response for the installed machine. Automatic correction can reduce repeated manual blade inputs during suitable grading operations.
The documented Survey-mode arrangement uses an installed and configured PM400-CAN power mast. Controlled receiver positioning supports high/low assessment, land-elevation checks and road-slope evaluation relative to a selected reference.
The controller supports this mode, while the mast needed for the documented workflow is supplied separately from this bundle.
The MD205-CAN provides 360° reception and a 7.48 in / 190 mm measurement window. Eight distinct beam positions give the controller grade-location information as the machine moves relative to the laser plane.
The receiver’s flashing LEDs identify the grade relationship:
Real-time laser bounce filtration and adjustable smoothing help stabilize the signal during vibration and mechanical movement. The available control settings are ±0.12 in / ±3 mm, ±0.35 in / ±9 mm and ±0.55 in / ±14 mm.
These settings let the operator choose the accepted control band for the work. They describe receiver/control tolerance and must be considered separately from transmitter accuracy and the finished-surface result.
The PRIMUS 3 H2N is a fully automatic horizontal dual-slope rotary laser. It supports positive and negative settings up to ±15% in both X and Y, including simultaneous slope settings in the two axes.
Grade values are entered as percentages to three decimal places. Entered slopes are retained after switch-off, allowing the operator to recall values while checking the transmitter’s current position and alignment.
Motor-powered leveling provides a self-leveling range of approximately ±8.5°. NEDO specifies leveling accuracy of ±0.020 in at 32.81 ft / ±0.5 mm at 10 m and slope-function accuracy of ±0.015%.
The transmitter establishes the reference plane used by the machine receiver. This Gold-CAN configuration provides single-point blade-elevation feedback. Independent control of both blade ends requires a suitable dual-receiver machine-control configuration.
An entered slope must correspond to the intended direction on the site. AutoTarget aligns the transmitter’s Y-slope axis with COMMANDER 3 by adjusting the laser’s internal coordinate alignment.
After Y-axis alignment, FindX helps locate the perpendicular X-axis. The operator positions COMMANDER 3 near the expected axis and uses direction arrows and angle information to establish its location.
These functions help connect the numerical grade settings with the actual working directions. They are particularly relevant when a prepared field or construction surface requires a defined fall along both axes.
PlaneLock uses COMMANDER 3 at a fixed reference position to monitor and hold the selected laser-plane inclination. The operator establishes the required slope, positions the receiver in the plane and activates the relevant PlaneLock function.
In the documented PlaneLock X or PlaneLock Y arrangement, the selected axis is held at its set inclination and the other axis is horizontal. This operating condition differs from normal simultaneous dual-slope operation.
COMMANDER 3 remains at the reference location while PlaneLock is active. The separate MD205-CAN receiver continues to provide machine grade feedback. This gives the transmitter an external reference during extended slope work without using the moving machine receiver for PlaneLock feedback.
COMMANDER 3 combines a digital receiver with a radio remote for the PRIMUS 3. Its 4.72 in / 120 mm detector field and selectable receiver accuracy settings support handheld reference checks with suitable measuring accessories.
The display arrangement includes one illuminated graphic display on the operating side and two angled displays on the reception side. Height deviation is displayed in millimeters; 1 mm corresponds to approximately 0.039 in. Direction arrows, reception-side LEDs and Real Laser View provide additional ways to read the detected beam position.
The included heavy-duty aluminum rod clamp attaches with MagFix. SmartControl and the Magic Button provide access to supported transmitter functions, including the H2N’s alignment and PlaneLock features.
COMMANDER 3 can also be used to check elevations away from the machine. Its role complements the MD205-CAN machine receiver and CP210-CAN controller.
CANAMEK publishes a working diameter equivalent to approximately 2,625 ft / 800 m with CANAMEK machine receivers. NEDO specifies approximately 2,297 ft / 700 m diameter with COMMANDER 3. The radio remote range is separately specified at up to 492 ft / 150 m.
These figures apply to different receiving or communication conditions. Usable field coverage depends on the receiver, an unobstructed beam path, transmitter setup and site conditions.
The H2N offers 600, 900 and 1,200 rpm rotation settings using NEDO’s IonicDrive direct drive. SegmentControl allows selected beam sectors to be disabled, which can help manage unwanted reception when multiple lasers are used on a site. Active receiver locations must remain within the enabled sectors.
The H2N monitors its laser plane during slope operation and re-levels when necessary. TemperatureControl compensates for internal temperature changes to support stability of the selected grade. Automatic Level Control stops the laser after a heavy jolt, and the documented shock guard offers three selectable levels.
The transmitter combines die-cast aluminum rotor protection with internal shock protection for its sensors and optics. Both the transmitter and COMMANDER 3 are rated IP67.
The CP210-CAN controller has an IP66 rating, and the MD205-CAN machine receiver is rated IP68. Gold-CAN’s published operating-temperature range is −4°F to 140°F / −20°C to 60°C. Ratings apply to the specified components individually.
Gold-CAN supports compatible on/off solenoid valves for blade elevation control. The CP210-CAN provides independent raise and lower response settings from 20 to 100, allowing each direction to be tuned to the installed valve, blade and hydraulic circuit.
The control box and machine receiver accept 12–24 V DC. The Gold-CAN hydraulic interface identifies a 12 V DC valve-control output. The machine wiring and selected valve must respect each component’s rating.
Installation includes establishing the correct blade direction, receiver-to-blade relationship, control tolerance and hydraulic response. This setup connects the electronic grade reference to the behavior of the particular machine.
The NEDO transmitter uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery and is specified for up to 40 hours of operation. The supplied charger connects to the transmitter, allowing the battery to be charged in place. Operation while charging is supported.
The transmitter provides a 5/8 in tripod thread, equivalent to a nominal diameter of 15.875 mm, together with the included Quick-Fix 2 attachment system. Quick-Fix 2 allows the instrument to be attached to or removed from a suitable tripod using its release mechanism.
The battery, charger and transport case are part of the NEDO kit. The tripod is selected separately for the required setup height and working conditions.
Agricultural grading requires a reference that reflects the intended field elevation or fall. Independent X/Y settings establish that plane, while the machine receiver and controller provide the guidance or hydraulic corrections used to follow it.
This workflow can support irrigation preparation and surface-drainage grading. The final water movement also depends on the selected slope, field design, soil, outlet conditions and completed earthwork. The system supplies the reference and control functions used to carry out the plan.
Manual grading requires continuing observation of the grade reference and frequent hydraulic adjustment. Automatic mode uses receiver feedback to issue blade corrections, with separate response settings for raising and lowering.
COMMANDER 3 brings transmitter operation and handheld grade checking into the same accessory. Together, the machine controls and remote functions can reduce repeated manual inputs and trips back to the transmitter during suitable work.
Gold-CAN uses wired CAN communication. The MD205-CAN receives power and exchanges grade information through its CAN connection. Dedicated cables connect the controller to machine power, the receiver and the compatible hydraulic valve.
The cable system uses oil-resistant construction, resistance to mechanical stress, low-temperature suitability and circular MIL-style connectors. Application-specific keyed connections help distinguish the installation interfaces.
The CP210-CAN provides receiver-communication monitoring, short-circuit protection and configurable operating settings. The backlit display shows operating mode, accuracy selection, blade direction and menu information. Available device information includes software version, serial number and active/inactive operating-time counters. Lost-laser and last-detected-position indications provide additional receiver-status information.
COMMANDER 3 uses a separate radio connection for NEDO transmitter operation. CANAMEK provides after-sales support seven days a week, and the bundle includes a two-year free warranty.
The bundle supports field leveling, irrigation preparation, surface-drainage grading, scraper control and compatible finish-grading work. The transmitter’s level and dual-slope references also suit road-grade preparation, landscaping and construction formation work with suitable machines.
COMMANDER 3 provides an additional handheld reference-checking workflow for excavation-depth, foundation-elevation and related site checks with appropriate measuring accessories. Optional PM400-CAN integration adds the documented Gold-CAN Survey-mode workflow.
The bundle combines the reference laser, machine receiver and controller in a configuration that can be integrated with compatible grading machinery. The H2N establishes and monitors the selected plane, Gold-CAN provides blade-elevation guidance or control, and COMMANDER 3 supports alignment, remote operation and handheld checking.
For farmers: the system provides a defined grading reference for field leveling, irrigation preparation and surface-drainage work.
For grading contractors: selectable control tolerances, independent hydraulic response settings and NEDO’s axis-alignment functions support different grading tasks and installations.
For construction operators: machine-grade feedback and a separate handheld receiver support compatible formation work, finish grading and site elevation checks.
Discuss the machine, hydraulic circuit, mounting arrangement and intended applications with CANAMEK to establish the required installation equipment and accessory configuration.

Use the NEDO reference plane with Gold-CAN guidance or compatible automatic hydraulic control to grade field surfaces. The machine receiver provides continuing elevation feedback as the scraper or land leveler redistributes soil.
Prepare field elevations for the intended flood, border-strip or furrow irrigation layout. The transmitter establishes the required level or fall, and the machine-control installation helps the grading implement follow that reference.
Shape surfaces toward the planned drain, outlet or collection area. Enter the required grade values and align the transmitter axes before carrying out the work with suitable blade-controlled equipment.
Establish a plane with a defined fall in one or both directions for agricultural or construction grading. AutoTarget and FindX assist alignment of the laser axes with the working directions.
Provide laser elevation guidance and compatible hydraulic raise/lower commands for agricultural scrapers and land-leveling implements. Select Manual or Automatic operation and tune the hydraulic response to the machine.
Guide or control a compatible grading blade when preparing level or sloped pads, landscaped surfaces and construction formations. Select the appropriate control tolerance and verify the receiver-to-blade relationship for the intended work.
Use the rotating laser plane as a reference during compatible blade-controlled preparation of roads and access routes. The operator manages travel and material placement while the system provides grade guidance or hydraulic correction.
Use COMMANDER 3 with appropriate site measuring accessories to check elevations against the NEDO plane during excavation and foundation preparation. This handheld workflow is separate from Gold-CAN's machine blade control.
Restore defined levels or slopes on suitable areas affected by traffic, erosion or settlement. Use the transmitter to re-establish the planned reference and select the control mode appropriate to the implement and conditions.
Add a PM400-CAN power mast to use the documented Survey-mode arrangement for high/low comparisons, land-elevation checks and road-slope assessment. The mast provides controlled receiver positioning relative to the selected reference.
Provide laser elevation guidance on suitable trenching equipment with an appropriate receiver mount and machine-specific integration. The equipment configuration determines how the reference is used at the working tool.
